Hello!
I recently posted a tattoo tour on TikTok and my Instagram story and everyone had so many kind, interesting questions… So I thought I’d go ahead and do a little tour of what I have so far on here. I can’t remember every artist, but I will try my best to tag them as well. Also, a lot of these don’t have significance or meaning! I just like the look of them. I love tattoos because they’re a beautiful way to help me express who I am! Enjoy the art that’s on my body!
The Tattoo Part
I got my first tattoo when I was 18 years old. I was with my cousin, Jaime, my mom, my aunt Misty and my aunt Tracie. It obviously had to be a guitar because I was writing about 20 songs/week at this point.

The second tattoo I ever got was a matcher (I have 3 matchers). It was with my best friend, Allie, and inspired by lyrics from the song In My Life by The Beatles. We were in our full Beatlemaniac stage, and she had just moved back from Los Angeles. So we had to do it.

My third, and arguably my favorite tattoo of all time, was the first one I got on my own in London. I used to have this little bunny on my phone case and decided I wanted it to also be on my body. Harriet couldn’t have done a better job. My musical pal. 💕

Getting this tattoo was one of my favorite memories in London. I was still new to the city and excited by the fact that I could make decisions for myself and do whatever I pleased. It was Friday the 13th, and I was lucky enough to be living with some of my best friends in the world. And we decided to exercise our newfound freedom by going and getting flash tattoos from a seedy little place that was offering them for £31 on Camden High Street. I really still like mine, but we left the tattoo studio with tears of laughter streaming down our faces because our friend Jordan hated his so much and regretted his decision immediately. He said, “you know when you go get a haircut and you hate it but you don’t know how to tell the stylist? It was like that for me, except this is permanent.”

I played these really cute gigs every once in a while at a tattoo shop. They would close at night and host really intimate songwriting nights and I loved it so. I had to get a tattoo to commemorate the experience.

This is another matcher! Got this while I was a UK & Ireland tour with the She Street Band. The guitarist, Izzy, is my soul sister and we had to get something that would always remind us of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In 2016, my dad bought an RV and my family and I went cross country in it. It was the most dysfunctional, crazy, exciting, brilliant 2 weeks. I didn’t bring back a postcard, so I got this instead.

Another matcher alert!! My aunts and I had been wanting to get matching tattoos for forever. So we got the three blind mice. Each one has bits of our personality incorporated.

I’m a lover of all mealtimes. Italy has about 5. I got my favs (colazione and aperitivo) permanently placed. Buongiorno and Buonasera. This was also the cutest tattoo studio I’ve ever been to.

Last but not least, I got this one because I want to start building up the tattoos on my legs. My shin didn’t take it too well (it rejected it HARD), but all’s well that ends well. It’s one of my most favorite ones.

Root for yourself this week and do something for yourself that makes you happy. Put art on your body and don’t apologize for it! Wear your hair the way you want! Dress in a way that makes you happy and helps tell your story!
I promise, doing little things little by little makes life that much more full of wonder.
